Destroy the opponent's power sources to break its protective shield. Use PS Move to target the ball & Makey Makey pedals to move the players.

DELIVERABLES

Rapid Protoype of the Game

This was one of my favorite project in BVW. This time we were divided in teams of 3 people, thus every team missing one role.

Surprisingly our team had a producer, an artist and I the UX designer. Considering my programming background I stepped into the shoes of the game programmer and thus we began our brainstorming. The team was very supportive and as we knew that this project was just 1 week long project we shouldn't aim for complicated mechanism rather focus on simple gameplay and include elements of fun.

 

We then decided to make Madonauts a multiplayer game of two mad astronauts fighting for their territory. We also had to work around a very important constraint i.e. the soundtrack. It was pre-chosen for every team and was supposed to be used without much editing.

 

I enjoyed this project as I delved into exploring the game engine and the integration of various platforms. Our play-testing feedback was positive and that encouraged us to make yet another level all within 7 days.
